Biography

Ivan Battistella was born in Lanciano (Abruzzo) in 1976. He moved to Ancona in 1997 where he began his carrer as a guitarist and singer. In 2005 he met the musician Simone Borghi, who invited him to participate in the promotional tour of his debut album For Many Years, recorded in Los Angeles with the support of the musician and producer James Raymond and the world famous drummer Vinnie Colaiuta. Battistella and Borghi share a strong understanding of composition that resulted in the realization of the Master of This Day song, included on the Simone Borghi’s CD Online (2008) which was played by international artists such as Tony Levin, Steve Lukather, Simon Phillips, Frank Gambale, Dean Parks and Rachel Z. In 2010, Borghi’s independent record label SBP (Serpilli Borghi Productions), in association with California management agency NYX, produced the first Ivan Battistella’s CD single entitled Pay The Price with the participation of American musicians like James Raymond, Tony Levin, Brian Ray and JP Cervoni. In 2011 Battistella appears as a guest on Borghi’s live DVD&CD Acoustic Night In Firenze and during the sane year SBP and NYX produced his first album Promises And Lies.

Ivan Battistella, nato a Lanciano (Abruzzo) nel 1976, si trasferisce ad Ancona nel 1997 dove comincia la sua attività di chitarrista e cantante. Nel 2005 incontra il musicista Simone Borghi che gli propone di partecipare al tour promozionale del suo primo album For Many Years, registrato a Los Angeles con il supporto del musicista e produttore James Raymond e del batterista di fama mondiale Vinnie Colaiuta. Tra Battistella e Borghi nasce una forte intesa compositiva che sfocia nella realizzazione del brano Master Of This Day, inserito nel CD di Simone Borghi, Online (2008) al quale hanno partecipato artisti internazionali come Tony Levin, Steve Lukather, Simon Phillips, Frank Gambale, Dean Parks e Rachel Z. Nel 2010, l’etichetta discografica indipendente di Borghi, SBP (Serpilli Borghi Productions), in collaborazione con l’agenzia di management californiana NYX Productions, produce il primo CD singolo di Ivan Battistella intitolato Pay The Price, al quale hanno collaborato musicisti americani come James Raymond, Tony Levin, Brian Ray e JP Cervoni. Nel 2011 Battistella partecipa come ospite alla produzione del DVD&CD live Acoustic Night In Firenze di Borghi e nello stesso anno la SBP e la NYX producono il suo primo album Promises And Lies.
